The Kris dancers667 viewsThe Rangda put a spell on the soldiers which made them want to kill themselves using their Kris (sharp, wave-bladed knives). The Barong makes their bodies impervious to the blades.

Jungut Batu on Nusa Lembongan661 viewsJungut Batu on Nusa Lembongan is home to lots of budget accomodation. The clear water and sandy beaches make this an ideal alternative to the relative hussle and bussle of Bali. Seaweed farming is one of the primary industries (it's exported for use as a food gelling agent and in cosmetics). The squares of seaweed can clearly be seen under the water.

Sunset at Kuta659 viewsThe sunset was only marred by one thing. Anna "Big Banana" decided to do a hard-sell of her manicure/pedicure services to Victoria. When Vic assented to the "free sample" we were quickly surrounded by Anna's beach-seller friends who proceeded to hassle us for the entire sunset (to little effect, we weren't buying!)
