Lazyllama is the website of Nigel Hardy.
Nigel was born in Cleethorpes, Lincolnshire in 1966. He moved to London in 1985 to study computing at Imperial College and lived in London until June 2004.
Since leaving college he has been involved in a number of online activities, including running Arkham BBS, a dial-up bulletin board system, from 1989 to 1996.
He worked for BT from leaving college until 2000, covering a variety of technical jobs. He has also worked for a mobile internet company, and a business internet service provider as a systems manager.
In 2004, Nigel and his wife, Victoria, sold their flat in Brixton, London and spent 3 months travelling around the UK in a Volkswagen campervan. In October of that year, exactly one year after their wedding, they set off on a round-the-world trip leaving their cat, Fossil, in the care of Nigel’s parents.
They spent 16 months travelling round the world, visiting India, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, Australia, New Zealand, the Cook Islands and the United States.
They’re currently living near Canary Wharf in London’s Docklands.
